On Veterans Day November 11, 2013 the CNY Veterans Outreach Center will be hosting a Grand Reopening of the Facility to include the reopening of the Bunker Cafe. After returning from a long absence due to his recent deployment to Afghanistan, The Founder and current Executive Director, Mr. Vincent Scalise, has spent the past 6 months reorganizing and retooling the operation. This effort has proven effective in making the Veterans Outreach Center successful in its mission of helping Veterans and their Families that are in need. The CNY VOC is proud to boost that it currently operates both the VHPD and SSVF programs which are designed to proved financial assistance for those Veterans in need.
After being closed for over a year the Bunker Cafe, which is located in the first floor of the center, will open again. The Bunker will offer fresh brewed Green Mountain and Utica Coffee Rosters coffee along with light fare.
On this day we will also be show casing the complete of the education annex of the center. This annex will have a fully equipped computer lab, lecture room, conference room and office space.
The Center will be open from 9am to 3pm and Center staff will be offering tours of the building. Refreshments and coffee will be free to all that come to the center.
The CNY-VOC will also be accepting donations of all kinds that day, to include bottles and cans, old Christmas lights for recycling and monetary donations.
